Cook that is!
I don't know how many actually read this anymore but I'm stuck in a rut. Every night its a fight to figure out what to cook for dinner. Lately its been kid cuisine or PB&J because I haven't had the time or energy to do anything. I should really say I hate to cook!! In the last few weeks I have wanted to actually cook but my brain is empty. Besides the usual mac and cheese and grill cheese sandwich. Don't get me wrong I still want something quick and easy since I work and always come home in a rush with kids screaming 'I'M HUNGRY'. It drives me crazy!
So I'm asking YOU! Do you have any good/quick/easy/kid friendly recipes you can share with me? Also ones that don't require lots of trips to the store. I could really use your help!!! Oh yeah if you have any fantastic dessert ideas the baby would love it!!

"Rise to Your Call"
My Aunt shared this on her blog and its something that I needed. I hope you need it to.
This quote came from President Eyring's November 2002 conference talk "Rise to Your Call".
There will be times when you will feel overwhelmed. One of the ways you will be attacked is with the feeling that you are inadequate. Well, you are inadequate to answer a call to represent God with only your own powers. But you have access to more than your natural capacities, and you do not work alone.
The Lord will magnify what you say and what you do in the eyes of the people you serve. He will send the Holy Ghost to manifest to them that what you spoke was true. What you say and do will carry hope and give direction to people far beyond your natural abilities and your own understanding. That miracle has been a mark of the Lord’s Church in every dispensation. It is so much a part of your call that you may begin to take it for granted.
The day of your release will teach you a great lesson. On the day I was released as a bishop, one of the ward members came to my home after-wards and said: “I know you are no longer my bishop, but could we talk just one more time? You have always spoken words I needed and given me such good counsel. The new bishop doesn’t know me the way you do. Could we just talk one more time?”
Reluctantly I agreed. The member sat down in a chair opposite mine. It seemed to be just as it had been in the hundreds of times I had interviewed members of the ward as a judge in Israel. The conversation began. There came the moment when counsel was needed. I waited for the ideas, the words, and the feelings to flow into my mind, as they always had.
Nothing came. In my heart and mind there was only silence. After a few moments, I said: “I’m sorry. I appreciate your kindness and your trust. But I’m afraid I can’t help you.”
When you are released from your calling, you will learn what I learned then. God magnifies those He calls, even in what may seem to you a small or inconspicuous service. You will have the gift of seeing your service magnified. Give thanks while that gift is yours. You will appreciate its worth more than you can imagine when it is gone

Happy Birthday Brielle!
Its hard to believe our baby girl is a year old today. Its seems like we just brought her home, she was tiny 6lbs 15oz (OK so she was bigger than her brother). Brielle has changed our life forever. Her sweet spirit adds so much joy to our lives and to our home. I love dressing her up especially in dresses. I remember the sound of her first coo and her fist laugh. None of us can make her laugh quite like her brother. They are best friends, protectors of one another! She loves to say her brothers name and has been saying it for a month now. We have been trying for a long time now to get her to understand signs but refuses to do them. She has been saying more and more words and understanding what we say to her. We look forward to this coming year and cant wait for whats in store for us. Happy Birthday Princess!

My Happy Children
Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to. I don't have to much. I went most of the summer without a good camera (we put the wrong camera chip in the wrong camera and it got stuck for what seemed like forever).
Brielle in the pool on Labor day. It was so cold but she loves water and got use to it.
This is how Caden enjoys his time at the pool. Not in the water that's for sure. He did go down the slide with his daddy and loved it.

And will try and eat anything she can get her hands on. This day she wanted to drink the mustard and the other day she was determined to have a pickle and had a hard time getting the jar out of the fridge.
